****************************************************************************************************************************
I have had many things happen in my life that have made me sad. I was a silly kid. If I could go back, I wouldn't have spent so much time crying. After all, life has turned out okay. I have some pretty amazing kids and my husband isn't too bad either. However, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and Kate Jackson and Bruce Boxleitner kept me feeling more than okay when I felt lonely or sad during my growing up years.
When Anne asked if I'd like to write some things, I started typing. That was over a week ago. I've written a ton. But deciding where to start was hard. Until now. On Facebook, everyone is giving people numbers. Anne posted a list. That's when I realized we have quite a lot in common. This is my list (I won't post it to Facebook).
2) I have four children. I'm supposed to have five with me here on earth, I have three boys and one girl. My daughter is in the Miss Michigan system and hopes to become Miss America someday. She also loves Bones and wants to be a scientist because of her love of the show. My oldest son has Aspergers. He loves SMK! My youngest is a huge music fan. He loves the Beatles and Blake Shelton. He would love to be a famous singer. All three of my boys play football. They all would LOVE to play college ball someday. That's a rare thing, but I support them 100%. After all, me winning the Lotto, building my own studio lot and bringing SMK back is a long shot, but they support me! My middle son is the most driven toward playing football after high school. He's a well-rounded kid and really helps out.
3) The things I have in common with Anne's list are: My number 1 and her number 9 are similar. Numbers 11, 12, just not on an iPod, and 15 (see my 4 now). And I too will own a Corvette someday!
4) I used to be afraid of scary movies. . . then the television show Supernatural came out. Now I'm bored watching anything else scary for the most part. My husband said he wasn't going to watch it. He said I only watched it for the good looking guys. But before season 1 was over, he was hooked! HA HA!
5) I was a hometown queen and runner-up at the county fair a few times. I ran the hometown pageant for a long time. People said they could do better. . . hasn't been once since.
6) I LOVE my Keurig! I worked at a grocery store with Starbucks and purchased a raspberry mocha or peppermint mocha venti every day as my treat to myself. Now that I'm not working, the Keurig flavors have to do. And they are awesome. . . just waiting for that golden french toast to come back now!!!
7) I LOVE to plan things. To organize, to make things happen. My way of doing things is this way: The worst that can happen is someone says "no." But when there is a "yes" to your idea(s) wonderful things can happen! Just try!
8) Doing number 5 and 7 a lot. Giving to others, etc. It can wear a person out when the people don't appreciate it, but I never regret it. However, it does affect my future willingness to aid the same people. . . sigh. . .
9) Referring back to number 2. If I did WIN the Lotto and make my dreams come true, it would be my hope to to help other people's lives be better. Depending on the amount, I would also love to build a retirement village, that was more like a suburban neighborhood. The nice retired people would have a once a month low rent payment and never have to worry about not being able to pay their heat, etc. This place would also have a 24/7 nurse and staff. I have a sketch in my notebook for both the retirement village and the studio lot. (I'm not an artist. The 'drawings' are horrible. There's more detail of course, but I don't want someone to steal it from me! As you can see, I dream BIG, people.
10) I'm not sure what else to share, but I love SMK, KJ, BB, and every one of you who loves them, too.
11) I hope I have the opportunity to meet as many of you as possible someday. When my husband retires, it's our hope to travel around in an RV and see as much of the country as possible.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!
