Character Discussion: Lee Stetson (codename Scarecrow)

Much of my writing revolves around a young Lee Stetson.

Why?

The answer is because my muse seems to be a young boy around the age of seven or eight years old, with hazel eyes, sandy-brown hair, and two adorable dimples. He tells me the stories of his youth. Really! Sometimes I can hear him talking to me so clearly, it’s scary.

I find the character of Lee Stetson, codename Scarecrow, to be a very complex man, and my stories try to explain how his experiences in his youth shaped him into the man he is today (or rather 25 years ago).

A Special Thanks

A special thanks to the following ladies who helped brainstorm, beta read, and keep me motivated: Neeney, Ros, Annette, Scarlett, Jennifer, Ermintrude, Cheryl, Grey Fool, Jan, and Batwoman. I want to thank Sarah for the wallpaper signatures, too. Also want to thank Carolyn Maddux for the line edit on the screenplays. Finally, I need to thank Larissa, Sarah, and Annette for the screen caps. :-)

Any errors in the stories are the fault of the author. Please inform me of any errors or corrections needed. My mind tends to go faster than my fingers.

In addition, if anyone wants me to include their SMK website to the link page, I would be happy to link.

If you want to email me, use the contact form via the contact page.  Thanks.

Scarecrow and Mrs. King

THE FIRST TIME I saw Scarecrow and Mrs. King I was hooked. The pilot episode was so well written, directed, and acted, it could have stood on it's on, but gratefully we fans were given four wonderful seasons and 88 outstanding episodes. It wasn't just as Lee told Amanda, "Danger, excitement, intrigue," it was the whole package; espionage, good writing, humor, romance, comedy, drama, and the best chemistry I have ever seen between two actors (Kate Jackson and Bruce Boxleitner), or as Merv Griffin stated on his talk show, "You're darling together," and they were.

Hello and Welcome

Hello and Welcome. My name is Anne, and I have finally decided to start my own blog. Even if no one reads my blog, I decided I would do this for my children and for my own record. Of course, anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge Scarecrow and Mrs. King fan and most of my writing revolves around that series, but I also love other espionage stories, especially NBC's television series Chuck.

I will often write about Scarecrow and Mrs. King, but also Chuck, family history, silly things I might hear my children say, rants and raves, and random thoughts. This will probably come across more like a personal journal than a blog, but time will tell with more entries.

I love directing community theatre and wish I had more opportunity to direct. I also miss performing, but have had health issues, which keep me closer to home, and to keep from getting bored I started writing.

I am not a professional writer. This is a creative outlet, I know there will be errors, especially with the dreaded comma. I attended college in Monmouth, Oregon, where I earned a degree in Secondary Education, and had a double major in language arts and theatre arts. I also have a Masters of Arts degree in theatre from Western Washington University.

I married my best friend eighteen years ago and we have three very active boys. Two of my boys are special needs children, having a mild form of autism, and much of my time is spent shuttling them around to their activities and doctor's appointments. I have told friends I am not a stay-at-home mom, but a stay in the car mom.

Thanks for visiting my site, and I am always open to suggestions, comments, and feedback.

     "Hey. . . it's me."

I live in the shadows of the Olympic Mountains, in the State of Washington and I love camping, boating, hiking, and hanging out with my husband, our three boys, and two Bernese Mountain dogs.

I enjoy beta reading, writing, listening to music, directing community theater, family history, and visiting forest fire lookouts.

"Actually, I do a lot of things."

My favorite television show growing up was Scarecrow and Mrs. King and my screenplays and fan fiction stories are all based on that series.

"There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humor and hurt." ~ Erma Bombeck
